Episode 1 - Woe Be to the Protagonist[]

The protagonist decides to stop by the Outpost Maid Cafe to start the day, ordering a brunch set from Soda. The maid brings out the order, only for the protagonist's first bite to be full of blistering spice. It turns out Soda and Cocoa accidentally put salsa in the food instead of ketchup, but as the maid runs back to redo the order, she trips and spills the food all over the protagonist's clothes. The protagonist decides today simply isn't his day at the cafe, and bids the maid farewell as he steps out.

Some time later, the protagonist finds himself with an awful stomachache, likely the salsa from earlier. Heading back to his room, he pours himself a glass of milk...only for Laplace to barrel into his room, bodily smash into him, and send his glass shattering to the floor. While Laplace is busy chiding the protagonist over drinking milk standing in front of the doorway, the man himself is more concerned about what reason would warrant Matis' leader barging in like this. The reason is that there is no reason, and she simply felt like seeing him. Almost as suddenly as she enters, Laplace hears a cry for help and departs by jumping out the window, sending more glass to the floor.

While the protagonist is still parsing this, Rapi comes in as the portent of even more bad news. There was an operation report due today, and it completely slipped the commander's mind. After promising to do what she can about a deadline extension and reminding the protagonist of his upcoming lecture, Rapi takes her leave. Mentally bemoaning how today is just raincloud after raincloud for him, the protagonist decides to go out for a walk.

A walk in the park later, and the protagonist feels much better...right up until a dog pees on his shoe. Biscuit of Happy Zoo comes bounding over, the little guy apparently a runaway trainee of hers. She profusely apologizes and promises to bring the man a new pair of shoes next they meet, before she runs off after the puppy that scampered away while they were talking.

As the protagonist considers just staying indoors for the rest of the day when Blanc notices him and comes over calling. While she's a little cheery over bumping into him out of the blue, she's quick to notice the frown on the man's face. The protagonist takes a moment to rattle off the list of every way this day has gone wrong, getting a sympathetic wince from the white rabbit. While the two are talking about how he's trying to make the most of a bad day, a baseball hurtles from the side and beans the protagonist square in the head.

After making sure he's not overly shaken in the noggin, Blanc gets the genius(?) idea of going around with him for the rest of the day. It's no secret that the bunnies of 777 are widely beloved as good luck charms, and she sees sharing the luck as no different from sharing in emotions like happiness and sadness with others. While willing to go through with this, the protagonist isn't sure how exactly "sharing luck" is supposed to work, to which she offers her hand to spread her luck by touch, much like how one's hand warms up when another holds it according to her.

The two hold hands for a bit while Blanc explains how one goes about "testing" their luck. She proposes he simply wander around with no set destination and think about how lucky he is and how well things have gone for him. By her words, both life and luck are a matter of perspective and action. Nothing bad will happen if all you do is stand there, but neither will anything good. Her spiel finished, Blanc asks the protagonist whether he feels lucky now. He still has some reservations, but he's confident Blanc will work as a good luck charm, so the two set off to test their luck.

Episode 2 - First Fortune[]

The two walk through the Ark hand in hand, with Blanc remarking how much this feels like a date. While the two talk about how mindset matters in luck, the protagonist's stomach growls, a reminder that he's had no food or drink since that morning fiasco. Blanc sees this as an opportunity to test his fortune; if they can get a table at a popular regularly-crowded restaurant by walking in, they'll know his luck's taken a turn for the better. The protagonist agrees, and the two set off.

They arrive at the most famous restaurant in all of the Ark. The line of people queueing for a table stretches for blocks, doing the protagonist's confidence no favors. Blanc takes a ticket and finds the number is "777." The implication of waiting behind literally hundreds of people is a bucket of cold water, and the protagonist is about ready to fold. Blanc considers the man may have a point, and proposes going elsewhere. While she's looking over their "777" ticket however, firecrackers suddenly set off.

Confused, the protagonist looks around and finds a restaurant employee congratulating them. Turns out the establishment is holding a special event where the 777th customer gets to skip the line. While the clerk steps inside to guide the couple to their table, the protagonist can only comment that perhaps Blanc's luck is starting to rub off. The bunny in question modestly tells him that his mindset also played a part in their sudden windfall.

The two enter the restaurant and order, the waiter bringing a veritable smorgasbord to their table. Blanc holds out a bite of pasta to the protagonist, intent on feeding him. He opens his mouth and is rewarded with the most exquisitely-cooked pasta he's ever eaten. Blanc goes on how nice this place was when she last came with Noir, leading the protagonist to wonder why the black bunny of 777 isn't accompanying today. Turns out Noir is busy brushing up on her dancing skills. The enthusiasm is appreciated, but Blanc is concerned that her sister is maybe working too hard at it. The conversation turns to the bond shared between the twin rabbits of 777, and Blanc promising to have Noir come along next time they visit this restaurant.

Some time later, the meal is wrapped up. The protagonist notices a bit of sauce on Blanc's lip and wipes it off with a napkin. While the white rabbit's eyes shine at this display of care, a clerk comes over to get the couple's opinion on the service. He's also there to offer the establishment's most decadent dessert, something they only make 10 of per day, for completely free to their 777th customers. The protagonist can only marvel at this complete one-eighty of his fortunes, leading Blanc to crow that she was right. Keep the mindset of a winner, and good luck will hit you in moments you least expect it. She's eager to finish the dessert and go someplace else to test the protagonist's luck.

Episode 3 - Fortune Times Two[]

Blanc proffers her hand to the protagonist again, commenting how her luck rubs off on him quite nicely. The two walk holding hands again, and find all manner of small blessings follow them. A rainbow shining in the sky, a rarity for the Ark. A four-leaf clover found right by the protagonist's feet (a man-made four-leaf clover, but a four-leaf clover nonetheless). The protagonist can only marvel at how only good things have happened since Blanc started to accompany him, a sentiment Blanc echoes regarding her feelings about following the protagonist. As the two spend a blessed day, Blanc notices a sign for a raffle, and they decide to participate.

The site of the raffle is utterly thronged with people. The protagonist holds Blanc close to him by the back of her waist to make sure she doesn't bump people, and while he apologizes for being a bit close, Blanc is quite...appreciative of the intimate proximity. A moment later, the MC of the raffle shows up and explains the rules. He'll call out audience members to the stage and have them pull a numbered ball from a container filled with 100 balls. The lower the number, the bigger and better the prize. The MC scans the crowd and spies Blanc and the protagonist, calling them up to stage.

Blanc introduces herself as an employee of Coin Rush, getting a look of excited recognition from the MC. The protagonist introduces himself, answering the MC's question about the two being a couple by calling Blanc his fiancé girlfriend. Blanc's face lights up in delight while the MC remarks on how quickly the man responded. With the icebreaker out of the way, the MC reiterates the rules. The two are allowed to pull three balls from the container, thus three (potentially) fabulous prizes will be theirs. Blanc stands back to let the protagonist draw, confident in his recent string of luck.

The first ball is the number 80, awarding...a jumbo pack of cotton swabs. It's a very underwhelming start, but the MC reminds the protagonist he still has two chances. Blanc pulls the man aside to give him a hug and inject him with a bit more luck. She promises the next ball will definitely be lower than 80.

The second ball is number 32, which turns out to be...a bar of Splendamin. It's certainly a better prize than before, and the MC invites Blanc to cheer on her "boyfriend" one last time before the final draw. The MC jokingly(?) suggests Blanc kiss the protagonist on the cheek, and the man in question sticks his face out eagerly. Getting over her reservations, Blanc kisses the protagonist on the cheek, and he draws the last ball.

The final draw is...number 2, the 2nd prize. Blanc cheers over this luck test being a rousing success while the MC ushers them to the prize booth.

After the raffle, Blanc is still over the moon at their big win in a random lottery. The protagonist is less exuberant, pondering his unreal turnaround in fortunes. The more physical contact he had with Blanc, the bigger and bigger his lucky strikes have gotten. If that's the case, then...

Episode 4 - A Luck-Based Experiment[]

The protagonist shares his hypothesis with Blanc, who admits that even she found today's good fortune to be out of this world, and she's the one with a reputation as a lucky charm. She proposes putting this hypothesis to the test with one final luck check. The protagonist decides to try a gacha machine or few, and Blanc knows of a game center with plenty of those.

At the game center, the duo stands before the gacha machines. The protagonist explains that this specific machine can either output an empty capsule, a "normal" figurine, a "special," and a "legendary." Each machine contains three "special" figurines and only one "legendary" figurine. The idea is to ramp up to increasing levels of physical intimacy until they manage to pull the legendary. The two hold hands as they crank the handle, and...

It's the legendary figure on the first try! ...Or not, a closer inspection reveals it's a normal. The two take solace in that they avoided getting a dud just by holding hands, and while the protagonist is concerned about escalating too quickly, he acquiesces to Blanc's proposal of kicking up the intimacy. Kissing this early would be a bit much, so the protagonist hugs Blanc around the waist and pulls her close. The couple of a man and a bashful bunny crank the handle again, and...

The second capsule reveals...a special figure! So far they're two for two on the intimacy-luck proportionality theory, but they decide to do a few more tests just to see how far this "coincidence" will go. The next "hug-draw" nets another special figure, and the two ruminate how astronomically low the odds are to get two specials in a row, considering a machine with dozens to hundreds of capsules only has three specials. They consider that maybe, this whole thing isn't a coincidence, and that if they ramp up the intimacy from here, the result will change to match.

The next step from a hug is quite obviously a kiss, but the protagonist has some...ideas. He pouts his lips and sticks his face out, offering a lip-to-lip touch. Blanc goes red in the face at the idea, particularly since it's her first kiss, but she goes all-in since it's also the protagonist's first kiss. After a moment of awkward heated silence, the two give the gacha another go.

The two take a moment to shake off their nerves before opening the capsule. Unbelievably enough, it's...the legendary figure. Blanc believes the man is having her on, but he points to the gacha machine. Its once-blinking lights have dimmed out, a sign that it's been relieved of its legendary.

After taking a moment to realize their theory was correct, the two spend the rest of their time together "testing their luck" and finding their fortunes getting as hot and heavy as they are.

Episode 5 - One Lucky Guy[]

Night falls as the couple finishes testing their luck. Blanc considers this a solid proof to their intimacy-luck theory, and believes the protagonist played a bigger part in this than her status as a good luck charm. After all, it takes two people to have physical intimacy. Moreover, even with a little fatigue, Blanc still wants to keep the good times rolling and spend as much time as she can with the protagonist.

The two go about the night on a seemingly endless lucky streak. Getting to try new menu items for free from a famous patisserie, getting a big win on the last scratch-off card being sold, the blessings seem to never stop coming.

Some time later, Blanc seems completely drained of energy and asks to sit down for a bit. She tries to tell the protagonist something, but falls unconscious before she can get the words out...

The protagonist rushes Blanc to the hospital, where Mary is giving her a lookover. She waves off the protagonist's concerns that the rabbit will never awake, assuring there is no physical malady. She did notice however that Blanc's stamina is quite low, enough to only total to half that of a standard human's. The news briefly alarms the protagonist before Mary assures him that it's not as bad as it sounds. Blanc just needs to rest and she'll be right as rain. The doctor leaves to see to her other patients, asking the protagonist to call her if Blanc's condition changes.

Alone in the hospital room, the protagonist ponders how this came to be. Sure, they'd run about for the better part of a day doing all sorts of things, but how is it that a Nikke like Blanc could become completely exhausted while an ordinary human like him is perfectly fine? The only thing that would really explain it would be the luck Blanc's been giving him all day...

A stirring from Blanc jolts the protagonist back to reality, and he sees to the condition of the white rabbit. He explains Mary's diagnosis and his theory as to why her energy suddenly zeroed out. Blanc admits that at this point, it's the only reasonable explanation. The protagonist tries to advise Blanc to be more careful with sharing her luck, but the rabbit in question doesn't see it as a problem, given how she's not going be nearly as touchy-feely with the customers at Coin Rush. Moreover, she's never had problems sharing her luck with the patrons of the casino, but she realizes that perhaps that may have been a result of Noir being with her. The two are twins, two halves of the same whole, so that likely plays a factor.

The protagonist still has his concerns, but seeing Blanc shrug off the fatigue and promise to be more careful assuages him for now. He then remembers Blanc trying to tell him something before she passed out, and the white rabbit practically jumps from the remembrance. She gazes intensely into the man's eyes, and the mood in the room takes an entirely different turn.

The protagonist asks if Blanc has fallen for him, which the rabbit admits is actually the case. Over the course of this day, and all the time and physical contact they spent together, it made her feelings only grow stronger. She cherishes the time they spent together, just like the days she spends with Noir, and she wanted him to know that, whether or not he felt the same way. The protagonist admits that he also likes her, and Blanc is overjoyed to her the news. Though she admits she wants a redo of this confession later, when she can let Noir into the loop. The protagonist decides to humor this odd request.

Blanc leaps from the bed into the protagonist's arms, promising to be an exclusive good luck charm for him. The man himself is concerned about draining Blanc's stamina again, but the rabbit feels safe that he has her best interests at heart. Thus the curtain falls on this strange, wonderfully lucky date between the protagonist and Blanc.
