The Campaign is the primary gameplay mode of Goddess of Victory: Nikke.

Story[]

Venture through the world of Goddess of Victory: Nikke via the eyes and struggles of the protagonist. Will your efforts finally tip the scales in humanity's favor? Or are you and your squad doomed to be another footnote in this endless war?

Gameplay[]

The campaign is split between multiple chapters, each one with their own map. The player controls their squad of Nikkes to explore these maps, finding Lost Relics and fighting Raptures until eventually reaching a boss. Upon the boss' defeat, the next chapter (if applicable) will open.

Battles are represented by Raptures on the field. Getting in contact with one will show the battlefield information, including the enemy's elemental weakness, general range distribution of enemies, recommended power level, and lineup if applicable. The information will also note if auto-battle is restricted, a pre-set squad composition is in effect, or if a level adjustment will be applied for that stage.

Attempting to start a battle with a power level below the recommendation (your squad's power level will be highlighted red if this is the case) will start your squad off with a penalty to all stats which scales further based on power disparity.

Battles are split between three mission types: Destroy, Defense, and Base Defense

Battle Categories[]

Standard Battle[]

The Rapture has no marking over its head. Some of these battles can even be skipped with some clever maneuvering. Clearing these battles will contribute to Outpost Defense Level.

Story Battle[]

The Rapture is marked with a blue exclamation bubble, and is generally positioned in such a way as to not be skippable. Cutscenes will play before and/or after the battle that progress the story. Clearing these battles will contribute to Outpost Defense Level.

Boss Battle[]

An orange field will a skull mark represents a level containing a boss. Clearing this battle will clear the chapter and unlock the next one if applicable. Clearing these battles will contribute to Outpost Defense Level.

Commission Battle[]

Raptures with an orange bubble denote battles associated with commissions. Clearing these battles will not contribute to Outpost Defense, but each battle offers 50 Gems for clearing alongside the sub-quest's listed rewards.

Event Quest Battle[]

Raptures denoted by a purple bubble represent event battles. This battle type is commonly associated with mini-events like Full Fool Day and First Affection. Event battles may apply restrictions, such as restricting available characters or disabling auto-battle. Clearing these battles will not contribute to Outpost Defense level.

EX Battle[]

An orange field will an "EX" mark represents a level containing an EX boss or a group of enemies with special conditions. EX Battles will automatically set your squad members to a specified level cap. Auto-battle is not available. EX battles are unlocked in a chapter as the campaign is cleared. EX Battles do not count towards Outpost Defense level.
