Nikke Goddess of Victory International Wiki

The Collection Item System is a gameplay mechanic introduced in Goddess of Victory: Nikke during the Golden Coin Rush update.

Lore[]

One day, the protagonist finds a massive load of boxes in his room, accompanied by none other than Maxwell. Despite his impending dread, he assists her in unpacking the boxes, revealing...a series of dolls, all fashioned after himself?

These "Commander Dolls" as everyone (ostensibly) calls them are the hot new commodity of the Outpost. Maxwell came up with the idea, had it crowdfunded, then nabbed every single one she could as soon as the production lines started churning out product. As for why this whole thing is happening...it's another experiment.

Given how Nikkes have empirically shown better results spending time around the protagonist, Maxwell got the idea of having Nikkes carry around a sort of "clone" of him, one that shares his appearance and even genetic information. Despite the protagonist's skepticism regarding the efficacy of an effigy of himself, Maxwell seems confident this experiment will garner interesting results. Especially as she's including a "Favorite Item" component to it, where specific Nikkes will be given items that hold significant emotional/sentimental value to themselves. This is based on (currently unsubstantiated) reports that Nikkes exhibit greater abilities when carrying something they value. Maxwell wants to see if this phenomenon is something that affects the NIMPH or even if it physically alters the body...

All this leads up to the Commander Dolls that Maxwell has dumped carted to the protagonist's room. She wants him to take one of these for himself, and hand out the rest to the Nikkes he knows. Her hypothesis is that if the Nikkes see him taking such good care of the doll, it would stimulate a desire in them to find something they can cherish just as much. Then, they get their own doll/item, and thus data can be gathered on how the Nikkes' behavior and abilities change. After entertaining a few more questions (and denying that any of this is weird or abnormal), Maxwell departs, leaving the protagonist with the mountain of dolls...

Gameplay[]

Collection Items are special equipment that can be given to Nikkes. Items are categorized based on weapon type. Though abilities vary slightly by weapon type, for the most part Collection Items offer similar buffs.

Similar to Overload Equipment, Collection Items become exclusive to the Nikke they're given to. Unlike Overload gear, Collection Items can be swapped out for a higher-rarity variant, though the lower-rarity item is permanently lost. When swapping from Rare to SR Collection Items, a portion of the EXP levels will carry over.

Acquisition[]

Collection Items and their enhancement materials are available from Solo Raid and Outpost Dispatch Missions. In the latter case, the relevant classes must first be completed at the Tactics Academy before Collection Item missions begin appearing at the Bulletin Board.

Collection Item Mileage Boxes acquired from Dispatches can be used to randomly acquire Collection Items.

Enhancement[]

Maintenance Kits are spent to level up Collection Items. Collection Items level up in phases, with the maximum being Phase 15. Every 5 phases will add another star to the Item's rating and upgrade its skills. When performing enhancement on a Collection Item, there is a chance to trigger a Super Success, instantly leveling the Item up to the next milestone Phase. The rate is dependent on the material used and the Item's current Phase.

Combination[]

Surplus Rare Collection Items can be combined in sets of 4 to create a new item. This can either be a SR Collection Item or Collection Item enhancement materials.

As of Jinx Player, SR Collection Items can also be combined in sets of 3. This grants 1 Collection Item Selection Box, allowing players to get 1 SR Item of their choice.

Rare Collection Item Combination Results
Item Probability
SR Collection Item (Random weapon type) 2.5%
Elite Maintenance Kit x10 30%
Intermediate Maintenance Kit x20 55%

Favorite Item[]

The Favorite Item portion of the mechanic takes it a step further by providing a unique equipment that not only raises a Nikke's stats, but also upgrades their Skills and Burst.

SR Collection Items brought to Phase 15 can be upgraded into Favorite Items if the equipped Nikke has one. Unlocking the Nikke's Favorite Item questline requires that the Nikke be brought to Bond 30, which requires at least two or more Limit Breaks. Every questline is split into 6-7 episodes (depending on whether the Favorite Item story includes a battle), which can be reviewed from the Favorite Item's page on the equipped Nikke or in the Nikkepedia. Only one Favorite Item questline can be active at a time.

Favorite Items use their own exclusive enhancement materials, which can only be acquired by performing Favorite Item Dispatch Missions with a specific Nikke. As of Jinx Player, players can exchange Favorite Item materials at a ratio of 5:1.
